What’s your favourite thing about competing? |
The sense of accomplishment and the thrill of competing in the surf |

Who is your role model and why? |
I have lots of people I admire within Surf Life Saving , however the person that comes to mind is “Lizzie Welborn”, she is friendly and approachable giving up her time to come up to younger athletes like myself to offer praise and encouragement. She makes others feel special! |

What inspires you to be your best? |
Knowing that I can only control how I prepare, if I have prepared well in the off season and competition season. I know I have done everything I can to get the best possible result on the day! |

Walk us through your routine of getting ‘in the zone’ before a major event / race |
I arrive early, so I have time to do all the usual things like sunscreen and hydration. I generally do I light run then get into the water to get an idea of the conditions. I always talk to my coach/coaches to get their final tips and then when lining up on the start line I walk down to the water and check the depth for how far I plan to run. |

To date, what’s your career highlight? |
Definitely the u15 Board Relay at Aussies 2022. Winning Gold by a long way! It was pure adrenaline and wanting to do it for the team! |

Going into this season, what’s your number one goal? |
A top three individual place at Aussie’s 2023 |

It’s the night before a big competition... what’s your must-have meal?
|
I definitely like to have pasta the night before a big competition. |

What’s your favourite song to listen to before competing or during training?
|
At the moment my favourite is “Confident” by Demi Lovato. |

What makes Engine products different from other gear out on the market?
|
I love the swimmers particularly the Santorini for training they are so comfortable and wear much better than other brands. I also love the pool racing swimmers Bullets are sleek and fast and I also love the colours in the Explode , they have an amazing fit. Some other brands have shorter leg length and engine have the leg length perfect for me. |

What’s your crucial Engine product(s) and why? |
I definitely couldn’t do without my Engine Goggles, I trust them completely. They fit well, stay on and are super clear. They also have quite along life for something I use everyday whether it be in the pool or surf. |
