What’s your favourite thing about competing?
It’s a chance to put my training into practice and to test myself against others.
Who is your role model and why?
Nathan Smith – I have great respect for all he has achieved in Surf Lifesaving, and now that he is my coach, I get to see up close what a great communicator and mentor he is. He is a great inspiration in not only what he does but how he does it.
What inspires you to be your best?
The desire to keep improving and be the best version of myself
Walk us through your routine of getting ‘in the zone’ before a major event / race
I like to visualise myself doing well in the race. I focus on my race plan and shut out distractions.
To date, what’s your career highlight?
Winning a silver medal in the U14 individual board race at Aussies in 2022
Going into this season, what’s your number one goal?
To win an Aussies gold medal in either individual swim, board or iron

Pasta!

Weapon goggles – a good pair of goggles is crucial in my surf races. Having clear sight enables me to focus on swimming my best without distractions
