What’s your favourite thing about competing? |
I personally love the atmosphere and the excitement the sport brings to me. The excitement and the happiness is what allows me to become a better athlete. |

Who is your role model and why? |
I personally role model Shannon Eckstein as his skills and knowledge of the surf is mind blowing. It is like nothing I’ve seen before and when I watched him compete it made me want to get to that level so that I could be like him. |

What inspires you to be your best? |
I am very intrinsically motivated to work hard but also the squad around me at Burleigh pushes me to do the best I can. All the athletes make me work harder every day |

Walk us through your routine of getting ‘in the zone’ before a major event / race |
I will listen to music all morning as soon as I get up so I can get fully focus on what I’m doing. As soon as I get to the beach I hyper analyse the surf to look at all the possibility for all the different areas I may be in throughout the day. On the line I memorise my race and picture every movement I will make in the way out and in. |

To date, what’s your career highlight? |
My career highlight is definitely the win in the board rescue at Aussies with my mate Jett and making the Aussie iron final. 2 massive achievements from 4-5 years of hard work which was very fulfilling |

Going into this season, what’s your number one goal? |
Number one goal is to have fun and focus on myself. I’m completing up this year, so it’ll be a tough challenge but I’m hoping to enjoy it thoroughly |

It’s the night before a big competition... what’s your must-have meal?
|
Definitely some sort of pasta. Very filling a fill of carbohydrates so I can be fully energised going into the race. |

What’s your favourite song to listen to before competing or during training?
|
My favourite song has got to be drip too hard (by Lil baby and Gunna). |

What makes Engine products different from other gear out on the market?
|
The engine products are long lasting and the most top of the line gear available, nowhere else I would shop. As well as the fact that the prices are very affordable. |

What’s your crucial Engine product(s) and why? |
Definitely the jammers. They are my go-to and I wear them every session and competition. They are an amazing product and have helped me majorly in my competing. |
