Caeleb Dressel, he’s an amazing swimmer, hardworking and humble.
What inspires you to be your best?
As a proud Whadjuk Noongar I want to use my success to inspire other young indigenous people to achieve success by being their best
Walk us through your routine of getting ‘in the zone’ before a major event / race
Make sure I’ve eaten well and stayed hydrated, get to the competition early to warmup and activate. After warm up I get ready by sitting quietly and listening to my playlist to relax and focus.
To date, what’s your career highlight?
Competing at my first Aussie and making the finals in swim, iron and board as well as coming away with a medal in the swim , then heading to my first pool nationals where I won a Bronze in the 50 free and Gold in the 200fly.
Going into this season, what’s your number one goal?
Win 100 free at nationals and make the podium again at Aussies.
It’s the night before a big competition... what’s your must-have meal?
Spaghetti bolognaise, choc milk and always vanilla ice cream with ice magic!

What makes Engine products different from other gear out on the market?
Great quality, comfortable and always stands up in the surf and the pool
What’s your crucial Engine product(s) and why?
I live in my engine training shorts and singlet at the gym. I love competing in my shredskin jammers at surf, they are comfortable and feel fast, and during the cold winter we have had this year in Perth my thermal engine rashie has been great at keeping me warm.
