“Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them-a desire, a dream, a vision.
They have to have the skill, and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.”

Board Race/Board Relay
Favourite thing about competing?
I love going down to a carnival and hanging out with my mates on the beach and under the tent and racing against them and with them pushing each other with the healthy rivalry we have and sharing the moments with them along the way
Role model and why?
Ever since a young age I’ve always looked up to Pooley (Matt Poole) because of the fight he always puts up no matter what, you know he’ll give his all and just love the emotion and passion he shows on his face while racing where he grits his teeth and gets the job done. Now it’s so cool to know Pooley and know he’s just the same as everyone else and be able to train with Pooley in the pool and go head-to-head pushing each other along the way. And of course Ali Day (my mentor & Idol) whom I get to train with, learn from, look up too and chase every day.
What inspires you to be your best?
What inspires me to be my best is the desire to achieve my goals which requires me to be the best version of myself physically and mentally.
Do you have a routine to help you get into your best-focused state?
I try my best not to think about the result of the race and what people around me think of me along with the ‘what if’s?’ I concentrate on things I can control which is the tactical side of racing and racing in the moment and committing 100% no matter the result.
It’s hard to pick one but every season I come away with new highlights and over the years I’m proud of winning the U17 (2018) and U19 (2021) board races along with coming second in the U15 (2017) Aussie board final and forth in the 2018 world board race final. However, what I’d say I’m most proud about was the two Bronze medals I got in the Open Aussie and State Board Relays & Silver Medal in the Aussie U19 Board Relay (2020-2021 season) with my mates in what was such a successful season winning the event at every carnival throughout the season.
Goal for this season?
Make the Iron series and win the board races at States and Aussies.
Favourite food to eat the night before a big competition?
I’m fairly easy (to an extent) but I usually go for a stir-fry or pasta.
Favourite song to listen to prior to competing or during training?
I love listening to anything Eminem really but before a big race to get pumped up nothing is better than Lose Yourself by Eminem
Why do you choose Engine?
I love the Engine gear and have ever since mum/dad bought me my first pair of jammers for a 7-10 encouragement swim comp and am still proud of them today. I wear my Engine gear to all my training sessions (pool/ surf/ gym/running). I am always looking for the latest engine gear online.
Favourite Engine Product? Why?
I love wearing the Club Cuts, day in day out weather that’s in the early mornings at the pool or a surf session in the arvo or morning as they’re comfortable to wear and I have the luxury to chose from a vast number of cool colours.
