Published by Engineswim: 21st Feb 2023
The Noosa Summer Swim by World Series Swims was a 2-day event
that featured 8 ocean swims with distances ranging from 300m to 5km. The event
caters to levels from beginners all the way up to elite athletes and was held
last weekend (18th – 19th of February 2023).
Thank you to World Series Swims for putting on (yet again)
an amazing event in Noosa. The conditions were perfect, and the event was
filled with good energy and such a sense of excitement from all involved.
Special shout out to Phil Clayton for his coaching and
guidance in the lead up to the event with his Adventure Swim and race prep
sessions. Phil is an absolute legend who has such passion for ocean water
swimming. Phil has over 30 years of experience in the sport, it was a pleasure to
watch him in his element and having the opportunity to learn from him on the
day. Find out more here - www.philclaytonandco.com

The event kicked off with the Noosa Summers Swims 10th
Birthday party and Q&A at Knock Knock. The Q&A was emceed by Michael
Klim and featured Olympians Susie O’Neill, Kyle Chalmers and Andrew Lauterstein
as well as ironman athlete Ali Day. The panel discussed all things from their sporting
careers, injuries, highs, lows and everything in between. It was great to see
these legends so relaxed and enjoying each other’s company.
