Staying Home w Charlotte Cross

Where have you been spending your time and who with?

I have been spending my time at home with my family. With my parents not having to go to work and my sister and I at home doing online school we have been able spend quality time together and do things that we may not have been able to do during our busy lives outside of isolation.

How have you been keeping Active?

I have been keeping active by doing daily workouts and activities inside and outside of the house. I have been trying to vary my workouts as much as possible, by going for long and short runs and doing different engine workouts, it has been great to get the family involved in the engine live workouts on Saturdays.

I have also tried to go to the beach as much as possible for a swim, paddle or surf. I have also tried to go on bike rides with the family.

What has a ‘normal’ day looked like?

A ‘normal’ day starts off with me waking up at 7:00am, then online school from 8:30am to 3:15pm. I don’t have a lot of time throughout the day to exercise so I try to get out of the house after school each day, by either going to the beach, run or going for a bike ride.

Short term goals?

Keep up my fitness and strength

Improve on my long-distance running – aiming to do a fast 10km

Any new hobbies?

Cooking. I have always enjoyed cooking but have never had the time to. Now in isolation and not having much to do I have done a lot of cooking lately which I have enjoyed.

What are you most excited about doing again?

Seeing friends from school and surf life saving

Competing and training again
